Full CAT & Genny sweep of all trench routes before any ground-breaking — results marked on ground with spray paint and flags. Machine excavate to 300mm above known service depth, then hand dig to expose. Maintain minimum 500mm horizontal clearance from marked services during machine dig. 3	Manual handling — lifting and carrying pipes, aggregate bags, and chamber sections	Site operatives	8 MED	Mechanical handling aids used wherever practicable — excavator to assist with lifting heavy pipe sections and chamber rings. Team lift mandatory for any item >25 kg. Assess loads before lifting. Break bulk bags into manageable quantities. Avoid twisting at waist — reposition feet. Store materials at accessible height.
